Weight Lifting Grading Criteria
Participation (Daily) 20 percent of your grade.
There will be one grade for each week. Each day is 1/5th of the
weekly grade.
If you fail to participate fully, your grade goes down. This is a subjective
grade, if I think youre not giving it your all, your grade goes down.
Attendance (Daily) 15 percent of your grade.
There will be one grade for each week. Each day is 1/5th of the
weekly grade.
If you have an unexcused absence, you get a 0 for that day.
Improvement 15 percent of your grade. You will be
evaluated every 4.5 weeks in a number of aspects of the strength and
conditioning
program, i.e., the 1600 meter run, bench press, squat or dead lift, push-ups,
pull-ups or flex-arm hang.
Current event 10 percent of your grade. Your
will be required to bring in a current article on Fitness, Strength and
Conditioning, wellness,
or fitness improvement subject every Monday. Each student must bring in a total
of 9 articles over the course of the Grading Period.
Skill demonstration and event form 10 percent of
your grade. At the completion of each Grading Period technique in the bench
press,
squat, and dead lift will be evaluated for proper form.
Exercise Physiology Article Tests 10 percent of
your grade. There will be at least 2 (not more than 3) reading comprehension
tests based
on three Exercise Physiology Journal articles.
G.P. exam 20 percent of your grade. This includes
1 RM testing in Bench Press, Squat or Deadlift, push-ups, pull-ups or dead arm
hang
and the 800/1200 meter run.
